History
The Donnybrook Blackwood Ravens netball players are representatives of the Donnybrook, Boyanup, Manjimup, Pemberton and Bridgetown regions.
The Ravens participate in the South West Football Netball League competing against Bunbury, South Bunbury, Eaton, Harvey, Margaret River, Busselton, HBL (Harvey, Brunswick, Leschenault), Dunsborough Sharks and MLC (Mercy, Leschenault, Collie).
The club was established in 2015 as an entity under the Bridgetown Netball Association with an Under 18’s team. They also introduced an Under 16’s team in 2019. In 2023, the Donnybrook Blackwood Ravens Netball Club was established as a merger between two entities. They now have teams in the League, Reserves, Under 18's and Under 16's competition.
Achievements
Since joining the league, our club has been very successful. Our Under 18’s team were premiers in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022. Our Under 16’s also won premierships in 2019 & 2020.
Participating in this competition gives our junior players the opportunity to play against the best in the region, potentially allowing them further growth and an ability to pursue State representative pathways. Several Ravens players are currently playing for WANL teams and have played in representative teams for Western Australia.
